In memory of a loved one
A gift made in the name of someone who has passed away is a ṣadaqah jāriyah — a charity whose reward continues. Many families in our community sponsor a night of Ayyaam-e-Fatimiyyah in memory of a parent, a spouse or a child.
If you would like to do this, tell us the name when you give. We will recite it in the programme, mention it before the majlis, and include it in the closing duʿāʾ. If you prefer the gift to remain entirely private, we will simply say nothing — and that too is respected.
For larger gifts, or to discuss supporting a specific part of the programme, please contact our treasurer directly and we will arrange it with you.
Where your donation goes
We publish a simple breakdown of expenditure after every Fatimiyyah programme. As a guide, for every £100 donated:

- 24% Venue, utilities and catering
- 18% Media, recording and the archive
- 10% Children's and youth programmes
- 6% Administration and insurance
No trustee receives any remuneration. All labour is voluntary.

Frequently asked
Can I sponsor a night in someone's memory?
Yes. When donating or transferring, add a reference or send us an email telling us the name, and we will mention it in the programme and in the closing duʿāʾ.
Do you accept Zakat?
We accept Zakat for those elements of our work that meet the eligibility criteria — for example, direct support to eligible families. Please contact the treasurer before making a Zakat transfer so we can advise you correctly.
Will my donation be acknowledged publicly?
Only if you wish. Many donors prefer to remain anonymous, and we respect that absolutely.
Is giving online secure?
Yes. Payments are handled entirely by our payment provider; card details never reach this website and are never stored by us. If you would prefer to avoid fees altogether, a bank transfer reaches us in full.
Can I donate goods or services instead?
Yes — food, printing, photography, transport and professional services are all enormously valuable to us. Please get in touch.
